Acne Breakouts
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions! It will affect most teenagers and can affect adults. Acne forms when glands in the skin produce excess oil which combines with cells in the skin and clogs the pores. Normal bacteria grow in these pores and the body’s response causes inflammation or reddening of the skin that we associate with acne. Lifestyle factors such as diet and stress, not to mention hormones can all be factors too.

Aging, Wrinkles and Fine Lines
Wrinkle and fine lines are what we all think of as aging; they are caused by a breakdown of the collagen fibres in the skin. This breakdown is due to natural ageing but can be heavily accelerated by UV damage, free radical damage, neglect, lifestyle (high caffeine, high GI foods) and medication. Age, stress, lifestyle and the New Zealand sun are all big contributors. Life changes your skin but you can change it back with cosmeceutical-grade skincare and advanced non-invasive skin treatments, and by changing certain lifestyle factors.
